Healthy Hounds & Fat Cats Doggy Day Care offers your pets a vacation of their own! While you are out enjoying the sights of the Durango area, your precious pet can have some play time too. Healthy Hounds has over 1,000 square feet of indoor play space and three back yards totaling over 4,000 square feet, all chaperoned by well trained attendants. Your dog will be placed with a group with the same interests- from hard core chase games to cuddle time to quiet contemplation or nap time. Separate kennels are available for those who do not want to interact with the other guests. The indoor facility is climate controlled while the outdoor yards have sunshine, shade, and a wading pool. Pet cots and fleece mats are provided for those who wish to relax, while agility equipment is available for the more energetic dogs.

Healthy Hounds also offers overnight boarding and tubs for self-service dog wash. They can bathe day care or overnight guests if requested, for an additional fee. Sorry, there is no full service grooming available at this time. In addition, the retail store at Healthy Hounds offers a full line of dog and cat supplies, food, and treats. You will be able to find a treat or toy that your special dog is sure to love, including treats from Zukes, a Durango based company. We specialize in healthy foods such as Natural Balance, Wellness, Canidae, Innova and California Natural, plus many more. The foods at Healthy Hounds do not contain corn, soy, wheat, or by-product, and are therefore more digestible and less likely to cause allergy-like symptoms.
